Employment Opportunities with Cronulla Cruises

Marine

(Master Class 5 or 4, MED 3 or 2, Coxswain & Deckhands)

Cronulla Cruises is the only employer of its kind on Port Hacking. Joining our crew is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for a career in the marine industry and accruing commercial hours for Coxswain, Master Class V or IV and MED tickets or just looking to accumulate hours to keep your tickets valid.

We have two vessels: The minimum qualifications that the Port Hacking Explorer II requires is a Coxswain and for the T.S.M.V Gunnamatta, a Master Class V, MED III.

All Masters will require local knowledge training of the Port Hacking River, due to the many sandbars and shoal areas. If you are looking for a career move, or just starting out in the marine industry, we are more than happy to take on new and enthusiastic General Purpose Hands wishing to learn the ropes!

Hospitality

(Waiters, Bar Attendants, Chefs / Cooks)

If you are looking for a casual job in the most perfect environment, you have come to the right place. Our midweek sightseeing cruises are within school hours, commencing at 9am and finishing at 3pm.

We operate our weekend charters both during the day and at night. Cronulla Cruises is a family owned and operated business and our crew promote a family friendly environment, in which our guests can relax and enjoy themselves.

For every charter that our boats undertake we require waiters, bar staff and cooks. Both vessels have a liquor licence and all crew must be RSA accredited. For large group charters, we would roster up to 7 crew for a 6 hour shift. There are some staff members who started when the business was first founded and are still with us.

Tourism

(Tour Guides)

Commentary is provided on all sight seeing cruises, therefore the skipper will be required to have a sound knowledge of the area and its history. Local area knowledge training is given to all skippers relevant to the different types of cruises we offer.
